How to Use Color to Set Mood


This week our focus will be Color!!!!

A layout can portray a drastically different mood depending on your color choice. What kind of mood are you looking for? As a general rule, reds, yellow, oranges are"warm" and tend to add excitement to your layout while blues, greens and neutrals tend to be "cool" and more calming. As an example, take a look at this layout:

The deep red with orange hues was meant to show off the heat of summer. The wordart was a perfect expression to help the mood.
The next layout, using the same picture, and an extrememly similar layout suggests a totally different mood, evoking the calm of the sea, and the calm of summer life.
